PR Drones on Parade

The VP debates are on tonight. I will check in briefly. I did not anticipate the media hype Palin would create when she was announced as the GOP running mate. I guess I had more faith in the process... Her absolute lack of experience and blatant transformation of this election into a reality TV show event reminds me more and more of Vonnegut's description's of the president in his book Player Piano - a spineless PR face more inline with a game show host than a real public servant.

First time for Jerry Thursday

Tomorrow is my first night at this new place - Jerry's. Sort of a pre-party for the Friday event. My house is currently a hotel - we have people in from NYC, LA, Missouri, and San Francisco to see the show on Friday.

2 Events in 3 Days

Flyer art is done for the Spectrum Party. This is the 2nd time in the past year I have DJed with Sonic Boom. I usually get him to sign a bunch of the posters I make and last time I made the mistake of making a very dark poster - this one is designed near white so his infamous triangle Spacemen 3 signature stands out.

And 3 days before this I am hosting and DJing at The Assembly Record release party... Carrie's new band debuts plus my old Beta Theta partner Alexander is back in town from Brooklyn. Gonna be a good night.
